Stop Gaza genocide, stop flotilla attacks.
Block
everything,
everywhere.
The genocide of the Palestinian people is intensifying day by day.
We must step up our actions against those who are complicit in with this genocide. While the colonial state of Israel launched a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip in early September, it is simultaneously attempting to silence resistance through starvation and bombardment. To facilitate the invasion, Israel has cut off Gaza from the rest of the world.
Western powers are not only providing political impunity to the Israeli regime but are directly complicit by arming Israel.
Since 2007 the Zionist regime has maintained an illegal blockade of Gaza intended to starve and silence its population but for the past two years it has consistently prevented humanitarian aid from entering the enclave.
In response, direct action is multiplying to force an end to genocide and colonization: In many countries workers are organising to prevent arms and fuel deliveries to Israel; actions targeting military and arms industry sites are taking place in the UK, Belgium, and Germany); Carrefour stores were blocked during the “Bloquons tout!” social movement in France; A general strike and riots shut down the whole country in Italy.
Unable to tolerate the horror any longer, hundreds of activists from around the world took to the sea on 10 September aboard 50 ships. These humanitarian flotillas — the largest ever assembled — aim to break the siege by sea.Israel is attempting to portray them as “ships of terror” and has already attacked them several times with drones (using explosions and chemical spraying) as well as by jamming radio communications.
Let’s coordinate our efforts and act together everywhere!
We need to continue and amplify actions in support of the Palestinian people:
In Italy: the dockworkers of Genoa have warned they will “block Europe if contact is lost with the flotillas.”
In France: Les Digitales, Kessem, Palestine Action, and the Gaza France Freedom Flotilla are calling for mobilization on the same day Israel intercepts one of the flotillas.
Also in France: many youth organizations are calling for blockades of secondary schools and universities if the flotillas are targeted.
Let us heed these calls and organize to target accomplices of the perpetrators of genocide wherever they may be:Carrefour — following the actions during the “Bloquons tout!” movement — and other targets identified by BDS for their role in colonization and collaboration with the Israeli military.
Thales, Safran, Elbit Systems, and all companies that supply the Israeli military-industrial complex, as urged by Palestinian trade unions.
Let us act together whenever Israel obstructs the flotillas and continue the struggle until Palestine is liberated!
Some practical information
To follow the flotillas for Gaza:
The decentralised action campaign will be launched in conjunction with the flotillas, then on social media and the websites of the signatories of this appeal.
You can send your photos and stories of actions to the @briserleblocus.71account and to briserleblocus@systemli.org
We will do our best to make them widely visible.
